Moon Jubilee - music and words by Fae Wiedenhoeft the light it holds tight at the end of the night the shadows they dance with the flame the streets full of haze as we trip the soul maze shedding worries and even our names. the stars so alive as the moon pulls the tides it's cold, but the water is free our legs twist and twirl at the edge of the world in the dance of the moon jubilee Ahh ahhhhhh Ahhhhhh Ahhhhh the laughter of trees through the forest's cool breeze the place where old wisdom sings the oak and the green and the dawn's broken dream shyly curtsey to a nightingale’s wing the drums do begin as the clouds filter in the stars planting dreams in the sea the white swirling waves wake old Neptune's brigades in the dance of the moon jubilee we could find such pleasure here with the map in the lines of our palms to the songs of the seas and the trees our very breath joins hands with the fog the rocks and the shore and the soul's open door make way for this new virgin start the waltz of the sky and the wonders on high make the world forget hatred and doubt with a sigh and a wink that old moon starts to sink we fly with the night's mystery we watch dreams unfurl at the edge of the world in the dance of the moon jubilee in the dance of the moon jubilee in the dance of the moon jubilee

Free - music & lyrics by Fae Wiedenhoeft 22 Feb 09 sun light falls, the cedars stand tall sea birds glide the sky tide drifts home, footprints skip foam the breath of day is mine time stand stills, the heron's sharp trill they laugh along their way sing for me, a memory that silver lining day let’s fly between the earth and sky past rooftop leaves and trees let’s fly so high so free sea glass spell, the shore, an empty shell a heart carved in a tree spring time dream, lost on a sparrow's wing true love's a mystery skipping stones, cast thoughts to bones those flags are burned and frayed tomorrow rings as twilight sings i'll harbour here to stay and fly between the earth and sky past rooftop leaves and trees and fly, so high…. So free

Stone Roses - Fae Wiedenhoeft – Feb 2009 Stone roses don’t bloom at all The love you gave me Bread crumbs to a seagull How I tried to love you My heart was so true But stone roses never ever bloom Perfect garden dipped in colours light Birds are singing, streams are bubbling bright How you were a hunter A shot rang through the night The arrow hit stone roses No blood, no thorns, no fight Stone roses don’t bloom at all The love you gave me Bread crumbs to a seagull How I tried to love you My heart was so true But stone roses never ever bloom

Sea Star – Fae Wiedenhoeft 22 Feb 09 a little star floats o'er the sea and sets the weary boatman free his dreams carry him to his love the gloamin time of day and nigh when spirits dance and faeries sigh a magic song from above this fleeting love, this leanshe when she and he dance on the sea the winged hour is here seven months long it’s been since he left his home in Aberdeen her death he could not bare Chorus: free as the white waves ever roll free as the star light's glowing soul we'll dance though i am very far we'll be as sea and star solo how sweet it is at gloamin grey when star and sea so softly play a bond that sails through time and each night he'll dance with she on silken veils of eternity beyond breath this love will bind Chorus: free as the white waves ever roll free as the star light's glowing soul we'll dance though i am very far we'll be as sea and star

about

This recording is a product of the RPM Challenge that takes place globally every February. The task is to write, record, and produce an album in 28 days. Wow! What a task!
Fae and Doug not only completed this album but also made solo albums too! It was a very busy month to say the least!
With little to no rehearsal and often captured in one take,
the process is raw and exciting.
